How to grow

Where to plant. At the front of a flower bed, in edgings, in containers on a terrace or balcony, or as bright group clumps. Thanks to its compactness it works both in the garden and in a pot. Highlight: ‘the most small-flowered’ — the bush looks like a solid bouquet of tiny red roses; the bright colour does not fade even in full sun.

Care. Undemanding, with good winter hardiness and almost continuous flowering all summer.

About the name

Name. In Ukraine the variety is known as ‘Anichka’ (synonyms Anichka, ‘Kapelka’) and is sold by nurseries as a spray/patio rose. Origin: the exact breeder and year are not documented. Some sellers attribute it to ‘F. Valašek, Czech Republic’, but the date is doubtful (spray/patio as a class came later), so we give this attribution with caution and without an exact year.
