How to grow

Where to plant. Large pots and containers on a patio or balcony, the front edge of a border, small beds, along paths, as a compact bright accent.

Climate. Moderately hardy in winter (USDA 6b, RHS H6, down to about −20 °C); in most of Ukraine it needs winter protection, and it overwinters more easily in the south.

Care. Undemanding; deadheading spent flowers encourages new flushes. Grows well in a container with regular watering and feeding.

About the name

Name. A variety from the Poulsen Palace® series of compact patio roses, named on the 'Palace' pattern; the word 'Olympic' has no separate explanation.

Breeding. Bred by the Danish house Poulsen Roser (breeders Pernille and Mogens Olesen), patent code POUlymp; introduced in 2001.

Significance. One of the popular patio roses in the Poulsen Palace® series, created for large pots and small gardens. It combines a compact bush with abundant repeat flowering and long-lasting copper-orange blooms.
